What Are Orthodontic Treatment Methods?
Braces are one of the most common procedures in orthodontic treatments. The priority for this application, which differs according to the expectation of the patient and the existing oral structure, is to provide comfort in terms of health and a beautiful appearance in terms of aesthetics.
Braces are divided into different groups as metal braces, clear braces, lingual braces, and clear aligners. Metal braces are the most preferred, solid, and durable braces from past to present. Generally, they meet patient expectations because they are economical. Although there is no sharp difference between clear braces and metal braces, clear braces are preferred for an aesthetic appearance. Clear braces, which are less durable than metal braces, create a more beautiful appearance in front of the mirror.
Lingual braces are wire systems applied to the inner surface of the tooth and they are preferred to close the aesthetic problems of wire applications. Lingual wires, which are more costly than other wire systems, can be preferred for many patients today.
Transparent plaque systems are applied in orthodontic disorders with fewer jaw and tooth problems. 3D measurements are made before the application on transparent dental plaques that do not contain structures such as wires and brackets and provide comfort in the mouth.
